April 2009 Guest Designer - Vicki Chrisman

Tell us about you and your family:
I’ve  lived in Nebraska all my life. About 9 years ago we moved to an acreage in the country (only about 15 minutes from town), and we love it here.   My husband Dan and I are now here with our two pups  (who think they are our children, I’m sure).  We have two sons, Weston and Jarad, who are in their 20’s and out on their own now.  They both live within an hour from us, so we see them often.

What got you started in the stamping/papercrafting world?:
I’ve always loved arts and crafts of any kind.. since I was a small child.   I always worked it in to my life, in one way or another.  I worked for a while in a small Stamp/Scrapbook store, started teaching.  Now I work from home for a number of different manufactures and am lucky enough to be able to travel to teach for them often.    I feel lucky to be doing what a love so much, for a living. I’ve met so many fantastic people through this industry, and through blogging.

Morning Person or Night Owl? Oh… definite Night Owl!

Favorite Sandwich: Reuben.

When I go out with friends, we usually go to:  dinner or each others homes.

Favorite color(s): pink and green

Favorite crafting tool: My Fiskars trimmer

I am inspired by: anything vintage, colors, music, nature.. other artists

I can’t live without:  Scrapwise?  My trimmer, scissors, adhesive and paper.. and I’m good!   Vintage buttons and trims…. The icing on the cake! Love em!

My creative/scrap area right now looks:  I make a mess while I’m busy working. I seem to have to drag out everything, to get just what I want to use. I try this, and try that.. until I have what I want. That makes a mess! But.. .I love organization, so at the end of each day, everything gets put away where it belongs! I’m big on “labeling”, so it all goes back fairly quick.
