June 2009 Guest Designer - Melissa Bove

Tell us about you and your family:

Hi! My name is Melissa Bove. I am a Mom to my 3 yr old son, Antonio and wife to my hubby, Robert. We live in Whiting, New Jersey, which is down near the Jersey Shore.

What is your daily life like?

My first and most important job is a Stay-At-Home-Mom. I also do a lot of Design Work for companies, online stores and I’m also a Dirty Girl on SCS. So my second job, is mostly stamping!

Tell us what got you started in the stamping/papercrafting world and why you love it so much.

I have done scrapbooking ever since I was a little kid, but I seriously got into it after I got married, 6 years ago. I had went to my LSS for some supplies and I saw a really cute stamp set. So I decided to buy and I have been hooked ever since!

You can follow Melissa at her blog, "Keepsakes by Melissa", here: http://www.keepsakesbymelissa.blogspot.com/

Morning Person or Night Owl? Well, I am a Night Owl normally, but since having my son, he “made me” be a Morning person who still moonlights at night! LOL That’s when I do most of my work! So needless to say, I don’t get much sleep! hehe

Favorite Sandwich: Eggplant Parm! Yummo!!

When I go out with friends, we usually go:  out to dinner. It is normally to celebrate one of our birthdays or a spcial event.

Favorite color(s): Lavender, pink, seafoam green, all the pastel colors! But I must admit, I am branching out towards darker colors lately too! I guess it is hard to say, since I love all colors really!

Favorite crafting tool: My Cuttlebee Paper Trimmer! Couldn’t craft without it!

Favorite Products (other than Pink Persimmon, of course!): Nestabilities Dies by Spellbinders! My new obsession!

I am inspired by: Tim Holtz, fellow DT members, online galleries, Better Homes and Garden magazine. Inspiration is everywhere!

I can’t live without:  My son Antonio! He is my life!!

My creative/scrap area right now looks:  Like a tornado came through! I am finishing up some DT work, so it is a mess! But I will clean it up today and then mess it up again tomorrow! ;)
