December 2008 Guest Designer - Keri Lee Sereika

Hi! My name is Keri Lee Sereika. I live in Summerville, SC with my husband Adam and our three children. My husband serves in the USAFR as a C-17 Cargo Plane pilot. I currently homeschool our oldest son. This is our first year and I love it!

When I am not playing the roles of wife and mom, I am a freelance writer/designer for a couple of magazines. You can find my features in both Scrap & Stamp Arts Magazine and Crafts  N Things Magazine. I am a design team member for Cards Positioning Systems, Prism Papers and Spellbinders Blog Team. I have served on several other teams over the years but have found I enjoy and needed more freedom in my creative routine. I really enjoy being freelance now and having the opportunity to accept guest design spots like this one for Pink Persimmon..

I first started stamping after going to a home show where I purchased one black ink pad, an alphabet set, a set of chalk and an "all occasion" set of card stamps...here I am six years later with a hobby that has turned into a fun "career" of sorts...

Morning Person or Night Owl?  Definitely a natural morning person

Favorite Sandwich: hmmm...I do love a nice Grilled Cheese with Tomato and Black Pepper

When I go out with friends, we usually go to:  I love going to their house for movie night or girls night out!

Favorite color(s):  I love blues, creams and browns...red is high on the list too....geesh who am I kidding?? I can't pick a favorite!!!

Favorite crafting tool: I love my Fiskars Bypass Trimmer. It is the one tool I would not want to have to do without!

Favorite products (other than Pink Persimmon, of course!): A few staples I use on each creation I make are -
Cardstock: Prism Papers; Inks: Fluid Chalk Ink by Clearsnap; Die: Spellbinders Nestabilities.

I am inspired by: I am inspired by life around me...you never know what will catch my attention next!

My creative/scrap area right now looks:  Right now it is a huge mess! I usually have it neat tidy and organized but we just had our windows replaced and we had to remove part of my studio countertop to replace the window and so everything had to be removed....I haven't had time to get it all back together just yet! :) But if you want to see photos of what it would usually look like, you can see the album on my blog! :)
