Pink Persimmon's Creative Team Call 2009

Pink Persimmon is a Clear Polymer Stamp Company and we are looking for our first Creative Team.  We are looking for 4 individuals that will assist with project samples, tutorials, blog posts and creative ideas utilizing Pink Persimmon stamp sets during the 6 month period of October 1st ,2009 thru March 31st, ,2010  At this time we can only accept US applicants (but we’ll be looking for an international team in the future).

Pink Persimmon is owned by sisters Judi Andersen and Darcy Andersen McNairy.  We specialize in vintage inspired designs and many of our stamp sets lend themselves to uses beyond cards and scrapbooking.  We just celebrated our one-year anniversary and we are excited to take the next step in growing our little company.  We are hoping to find a few enthusiastic and creative individuals that will enjoy working along with us as we tell the world about Pink Persimmon.

To apply for our Creative Team:  please email the following to darcy@pinkpersimmon.com using the subject line “CREATIVE TEAM CALL – (Your Name)”  Include the following as attachments in jpg, pdf or doc formats:

  • Full Name
  • Address
  • Phone
  • Email Address
  • Blog Address
  • Links to your online galleries
  • A short bio about you and your family
  • A short bio about your creative experience, including any published work and prior (or current) Design Team work.  (Note that prior experience is not necessarily required, we are looking for fresh and fun ideas first).
  • What would make you an asset to our Creative Team?

Please also include:

  1. Photos of 5 stamped projects that best represent your preferred style.  Any type of project is acceptable including cards, layouts, altered items, mixed-media art, or home décor.
  2. If you have a link to a tutorial or “step-by-step” photo project that you wrote and photographed, we would love to see it!

If you have a preference for one type of project over others, please let us know that too.  We may have people assigned to an “expert” role if they are predominantly a card maker, or really prefer to do altered art, etc.  Not everyone is comfortable with all project types, but they may be really good at one format.  We want to see your best stamping work and your most creative use of a stamped image.  So if you are really only a card maker, send us photos of 5 card projects and let us know that you are most creative when making cards.

All photos must be well photographed with good lighting.  Good photography skills are a definite plus.  You may send multiple views of your projects, but please keep all photos below 400kb in size and approx 600x800 pixels.  NOTE:  Projects DO NOT have to be made with Pink Persimmon stamp sets.

Pink Persimmon is specifically looking for:

  1. Creative individuals who can commit to making a minimum of 3 stamped projects each month (such as layouts, cards, altered items, home décor, etc) including a material list and simple step-by-step instructions (if needed).
  2. Are active participants in online forums and post their work in online galleries.  A personal blog where you can share your projects and ideas is a definite plus as well.
  3. Individuals who have the ability to clearly write and photograph a tutorial project. You will be required to provide at least one tutorial project during your 6 month term that will be featured on the website and blog.
  4. Individuals who are willing to submit their designs to various magazines, publications, challenge blogs, etc.  We want our Creative Team to act as ambassadors for Pink Persimmon and will look for opportunities to help us grow our little company.
  5. Creative and inspired people who are able to work with deadlines and have the available time to commit to the above duties.

Creative Team Members will receive:

  1. A large welcome package of stamps valued at approximately $100 retail.  You will have input on which sets you would like to work with.
  2. Additional stamp sets sent every two months, including new releases that occur during your term.
  3. A $25 supply allowance for materials.
  4. Materials from other companies that participate in a Creative Team exchange with Pink Persimmon.
  5. Your work displayed on our blog and website, including a Creative Team bio and gallery.  We will also include links to your personal blog from the Pink Persimmon website and blog.
  6. Compensation for any Pink Persimmon projects that are chosen for print publication.

DEADLINE:  September 1st.

CREATIVE TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT:  September 15th

TERM OF AGREEMENT:  6 month period starting October 1st, 2009 and ending March 31st, 2010.
